This was really a terrific debut issue. If you like SAGA, if you liked Y THE LAST MAN, if you liked RUNAWAYS or EX MACHINA, you should really give it a try.
It’s good comics by good creators, involving, compelling and entertaining. And you get to pick how much to pay for it. Entirely your choice. How much do you think a new #1 from Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin is worth?
[Me, I paid $3. I almost paid $2.99, and then I thought, “Why would I pick a price ending in .99 when I’m the one setting the price? It’s a marketing trick. If I want to pay three bucks, make it three bucks!” So I did. You can make it 99 cents. Or less. Or more. You can make it $2.47, or $6.13. Your choice. But I gotta wonder, how many people picked a price ending in .99 just because they went there even when they set the price?]
PS - if you like the comic, reblog the hell out of this. Or out of someone else’s link to the site. Spread the word, get the book a big old audience!

Seriously. This may be in my top ten favorite panels of all time. Look at the way Ditko perfectly drew those teeth just falling out of that dude’s face. It’s just so perfectly matter of fact that it makes it super weird and creepy. The trippy objectivist philosophical narration that only kind of makes any grammatical sense acts like a zen koan to clear your mind allowing you to experience the horror without distraction.
I love this beautifully illustrated crazy bullshit so much.

I’ve had this feeling sometimes. (I’ve read one Harry Potter book, haven’t watched Sherlock despite reading about half of the stories, have watched maybe 5% of all Dr. Who ever, and haven’t seen the last three or four Marvel movies, though I do have them on Blu Ray. You know, for that mythical moment when I have free time.)
